Mary Frances Flowers pieces are handmade, and while we strive to represent the jewelry as accurately as possible through photos, slight physical and color differences may exist between pieces. Due to the handmade nature of each piece, all jewelry should be handled with great care.
All plated metals are done so with at least 1 micron of plating. To keep your plated jewelry shiny and bright, avoid perfumes, chlorine, and chemicals around your jewelry. Put on jewelry after applying makeup, and always store in a cool, dry place. Special care should be used when cleaning. Traditional polishing cloths can be abrasive and damage the plating. We recommend cleaning your plated jewelry with warm water and mild soap. Use a soft cloth to gently wipe the jewelry dry after cleaning.
For sterling silver metals, simply use a silver polish or jewelry polishing cloth to bring back the shine. Perfumes, chlorines, chemicals, and makeup should not damage your sterling silver jewelry; however, they will cause the jewelry to tarnish more quickly. The best way to prevent tarnish on your sterling silver jewelry is to wear it every day!
