Travel Style: Heading Out West
We're heading out west! This morning through Labor Day, we'll be exploring Seattle, Washington, and Portland, Oregon. Recommendations on food, drink, etc are more than welcome!
In the meantime, here's a few of my fave outfit inspirations for traveling (perfect for the plane, a casual night out, and daytime market hopping):
I need something comfy yet versatile, that's why I always bring a light jacket with me every time I travel. Little jewelry adds something extra without being in the way when I have to carry bags. The shoes? I mean, who cares if it takes you 30 extra seconds in the security line to tie them, they're adorable.
I recently fell back in love with overall shorts (as did much of the population - thank you fashion gods! love, a happy 90s kid) so these from Anthropologie were a no-brainer. Stripes are a staple in my wardrobe, and nothing grosses me out like dirty feet from walking all over town all day so covered slip-ons are a must. Again, accessories are simple - there's not much room in my carry-on so only my absolute favorites make the list.
Casual Date Night
It's my birthday while we're in Portland (!), so I wanted to get something new (because, well, I have a shopping problem) and casual (because it's Portland and laid-back is the LIFE). I found this cotton high-low maxi from Asheville's own Minx last week and have already worn it about 5 times. (whoops) A jean jacket is necessary as temps are supposed to get in the mid-low 50s (holler). Cluster Climbers, because I'm absolutely obsessed, and the Porcupine XL Necklace has not left my neck in a week.
