5 Unexpected Fall Wedding Details
Fall is here, friends! Thank goodness. I woke up to temps in the 60s the other day and about cried in happiness. Fall is my season - chunky sweaters, boots, scarves, hot beverages, fires, I could go on and on. This time of year just lifts me up and makes me feel renewed.
With that said, it is Wedding Wednesday! Yall know how much I love these posts. So today we’re chatting about those sweet little details that you can incorporate into your Fall wedding - those little things that are signature to this time of year and that your guests will still talk about months after you’ve said your I dos.
1. Pheasant Feathers
I recently went to an August wedding with the most STUNNING pheasant feather details. I mean, yall, I died and went to heaven. Such a lovely way to incorporate nature (which you know I love). Though it wasn’t quite technically Fall yet for that wedding, the temperature that night worked seamlessly with the feather motif. Just imagine how perfect it would be for October?
2. Natural Jewelry
Duh, had to throw this one in there. I mean, come on. Birch bark and Fall go together like peanut butter and honey (yes, that’s a thing - I eat it for lunch often, no judgements). Add these details into your day, and you won’t regret it. (neither would your wedding party if you so decided to share the wealth, just sayin’ ;))
I’m not a huge orange person so I’d probably stick to the neutral gourd colors - whites, khakis (some greens are neutral, right?), and browns. White pumpkins are just so dreamy. And with the antlers as a centerpiece? SO MUCH GOODNESS.
4. Fire Pit
How fun would this be?! And completely unexpected. It would work especially well for an outdoor wedding, but if your indoor reception has an outdoor space - it should be doable! (Just check with your vendor, obviously). This would be perfect for a November wedding. Who doesn’t love being cozy around a fire?
5. Late Night Hot Apple Cider + Donuts
I’m loving this trend of late night snacks at wedding receptions. Because, I don’t know about you but two straight hours of boogying has me starving. Also, I LOVE donuts. (seriously.) Make it seasonal with something warm to send your guests home in a dreamy state.
Happy Wedding Wednesday, folks!
